The town of Banstead lies in Surrey on the border with Greater London, just east of Epsom, and although strictly a town it is often referred to by locals as 'Banstead Village'. Banstead seemed to be of little interest from a military point of view - it was  an open residential area with no industrial plant or military establishment, and it  was not on or near a mainline railroad or trunk road....

But perhaps it was for  those very reasons, along with its position (beyond but not too far from the  outskirts of London), that an important and potentially very dangerous military  depot came to be sited in the area in the period immeadiately before the Second World War. This was what came to be described as 'No.  116 Equipment Ammunition Depot', and this short booklet tells the brief story of EAD  116. The booklet includes several black and white photographs

Condition of the booklet is generally very good. The covers are clean and bright, the staple spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. Their is a small price sticker on the rear side cover.
