Wooden Submarines of the early 17th Century, by Jonathan Davies

Published by Historical Management Associates in 2011, 12 pages. A5 size pamphlet (N8052)

Illustrated throughout with several small black and white photographs and drawings, this pamphlet provides a brief account of early wooden submarines, and most notably the exploits and inventions of Corenelius Drebbel, a Dutch engineer and inventor who is widely credited with building the first navigable submarine (in 1620).

The condition of the pamphlet is generally very good. The cover has one or two minor scuffs, but the staple spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is a small price sticker on the rear side cover.
