This booklet provides a brief overview of women in British mining and mining communities and looks at both the different types of roles open to women within the mines themselves, and within the wider mining community.
Sections include women underground, female surface workers, women who did not work in mining, the role of women in mining communities, and women's work in Radstock (in the Somerset Coalfield)
The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The cover is clean and tidy, the staple spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
