This booklet collects together eight stories that tell aspects of the history of Winchmore Hill, now a small area of Enfield in North London, but in times gone by a small rural hamlet several miles north of the city. The stories include: In the Reign of Elizabeth, The Wicnhmore Hill Witches, A Turbulent Hamlet, The Persecution of the Quakers, Jow Balaam and the Highwayman, Henrietta's Lost Village, The coming of the 20th Century, and Pikes Farm to Grange Park.
Condition of the booklet is generally very good. The covers are clean and tidy, the staple spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. Their is a small price sticker on the rear side cover, and a small amount of roll along the left hand edge
