Wilsill - A Brief History, by Eileen Burgess

Published by the Nidderdale Museum, 24 pages. A5 size Booklet (N7757)

Wilsill is a small village in Nidderdale in North Yorkshire and is situated a couple of miles east of the market town of Pateley Bridge. This slim booklet provides a brief history of the village, and after sections on agriculture, houses, textiles, transport, charities, religion and Raikes School, there are a number of short entries detailing the buildings, shops and houses of the village, including West Head, Sylcote, Manor Farm, Manor House, Bridge End Cottage, Byril Farm, West House, Birch Inn, Bridge House, Raikes Row, Whitehouses, and more.

The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The covers are clean and bright, the staple spine is intact, and all pages are clean, tidy, unblemished and tightly bound.
