This privately published A4 size booklet provides a fascinating history of public motor transport in the Witheridge area of North Devon and covers the period from the mid 19th century all the way up to 1950. The booklet is illustrated throughout with several small black and white photographs
From the title page: The story of the horse drawn carriages, motor buses and chars-a-banc that served the people of Witheridge and the surrounding area. It covers the period from 1850 to 1950, evoking the leisurely pace of a horse drawn vehicle and the adventures of early motor travel. A postscript chronicles the principal changes in the second half of the twentieth century.
The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The card covers are clean and bright, the staple binding is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is a small price sticker on the rear side cover.
