What was an Atmospheric Railway? by Richard Forrester
A5 size booklet, 12 pages (N4742P1)
This short booklet offers an excellent brief introduction to the history of the atmospheric railway that was designed and built by Brunel between Exter and Teignmouth in the late 1840's. The line was originally planned to run between Exeter and Plymouth, but it was not a success and within a short time Brunel recommened to the South Devon Railway company that the line already built revert to running conventional locomotives....
The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The cover have one or two very minor scuffs but are clean and bright, the staple spine is intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is a small price sticker on the rear side cover.
