This booklet was part two of a two part set examining the experiments carried out on every Western class 52 Diesel where applicable, and part two deals with the Crewe-built Class 52's D1030-73.
The booklet is packed with lots of black and white photographs, and includes some amazing details from the British Rail archives, including how they tried to deal with various design faults that plagued the Loco's that came out of Crewe. Widely regarded as an excellent reference work on the subject of the Western, this long out of print booklet is an absolute must read for every Western fan!
The condition of the booklet is generally good. The cover has some minor scuffs and blemishes, and light nibbling and wear along the edges and corners, but the staple spine is tight and intact, and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is some light yellowing to the inside page edges throughout
