Wartime Walsham, by James Turner
Book published by Datatech in 2006, 60 pages. Paperback (N6127PE)
This book is a fascinating brief history of the North Suffolk village of Walsham-le-Willows during the Second World War, and contains several small black and white photographs in amongst the text. The book collects together the memories of villagers who lived through the war, and there are wonderful recollections of Air Raid patrols, the local Home Guard, and of course accounts by the men of the village who served in the army, RAF and Royal Navy during the conflict.
Condition of the book is generally good. The covers are clean and bright, the spine is intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There are some undulations to the left hand edge of the inside pages (which was caused during the binding process), and there is a small price sticker on the rear side cover
