Full title: Eagles over the Pacific (Volume 1): Warpath Across the Pacific, The Illustrated History of the 345th Bombardment Group during World War II'

Published by International Research and Publishing in 1989 (third edition), 448 pages. Hardback with Dust Jacket - c.22cm by 28cm (A43N3)

From the preface: The amazing success of Warpath Across The Pacific has resulted in the creation of Eagles Over The Pacific, a series of volumes, currently projected at about twenty, documenting definitively in text, photos, maps and artwork the history of the air war in the South and Southwest Pacific. With the Third Edition, Warpath becomes Volume One of that series to be followed at a rate of two to three volumes per year by additional unit and campaign histories covering both the Allied and Japanese sides. All books, including Japanese histories, will be based on the Warpath format and will be comparable in detail and depth of presentation. The authors and researchers producing this series are the top experts in the field of World War 11 aviation history.

With Warpath's Third Edition, readers will find that many changes, mostly additions, have been incorporated into the book to expand the already encyclopedic coverage of the 345th Bomb Group's contribution to the war effort. For much of this new material, I want to especially thank Osamu Tagaya, Cdr. Toshio Tamura and Dr. Yasuho Izawa. These sources have been especially helpful in providing much more detailed coverage of the Japanese side of events involving the 345th.

The condition of the book is generally good. The dust jacket has some minor scuffs and blemishes, and creasing and wear along the edges and corners (the creasing is most noticeable in the bottom right hand corner of the rear side), but the spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
