This book ia a very human account of five months soldiering on the Western Front. Originally published by Walter Hulme in 1918 for private circulation amongst his friends, he wrote his account of life in the trenches of the Western Front in moments spent in and out of the trenches during the period from his arrival in the battlefields until his return to England.
From the rear side cover: Valhalla was originally published by Walter Hulme in September 1918 for private circulation amongst his friends and comrades of the war. He had written it during moments spent in the occasional times of quiet both in and out of the trenches, during the period from his arrival in the battlefields until his return to England after being wounded at Beaumont Hamel.
The condition of the book is generally very good. The covers are clean and bright, the spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
