From the introduction: This book tells the story of the Thomson boatyard from its inception in the late nineteenth century through to the yard closure over one hundred years later, under three generations of family ownership.
It includes a timeline of the periods of both success and the difficulties encounterd, as well as a comprehensive history and a detailed list of every vessel built over the years, and personal recollections of former employees, and all together the book paints a picture not only of the building of the boats, but the other workings in the boatyard, the social aspects of the firm, and the skills of the men who built the boats....
Condition of the book is generally very good. The cover has one or two very minor scuffs and blemishes, but the spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. Their is an old price (printed) and a small price sticker on the rear side cover
