They Were Never Told - The Tragedy of HMS Dasher, by J & N Steele
Book published by Argyll in 1997. 192 pages. Hardback with Dust Jacket (N4587)
On the afternoon of Saturday 27th March 1943, the converted escort carrier HMS Dasher blew up and sank within minutes on the River Clyde. The events were shrouded in secrecy, and the wartime government at the time tried to hush everything up. This book provides a fascinating and very detailed account of the tragedy, and what might have caused it....
The condition of the book is generally very good. The dust jacket has some minor scuffs, and some light wear along the edges and corners, but the blue cover boards are clean and tidy, the spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
