As far as I am aware this was the first and only year book published by the National Union of Societies for Equal Citizenship (NUSEC) - for whatever reason no further year books were published in subsequent years. The NUSEC itself had been the organisation of the Suffragists, who had campaigned for women to get the vote as the National Union of Women's Suffrage Socieities. (They shouldn't be confused with the Suffragettes, who were more political and radical). In 1919, after women aged 28 or more had been granted the vote, the National Union of Women's Suffrage Socieities renamed itself NUSEC, and under the continued leadership of Eleanor Rathbone started campaigning to equalise the voting age between men and women.

The condition of the book is generally good. The cover has some minor scuffs, and light nibbling, bumping and wear along the edges and corners, but the spine is intact and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is some foxing on the inside covers, and a name in pen on the inside first page.
