From the rear side cover: The Short Sunderland is rightly regarded as an aviation icon. In peacetime and in wartime, spanning a 30-year military career, a remarkable chapter in aviation history was written around this big and beautiful flying boat. It was called upon to fulfil many roles, both military and civilian. This booklet pictorially charts the Sunderland story from design and war service to the last flying Sunderland, still aloft in the 1990s. Many of the photographs are from private collections, previously unpublished...
The booklet is illustrated throughout with around 140 black and white photographs.
Condition of the booklet is generally excellent. The covers are clean and bright, the staple spine is intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is a small price sticker on the rear side cover
