The Real Cold War, by Chris B. Tye
Published privately by the author in 1995. 195 pages. Large Softback. 195 pages.
This book is a fascinating and detailed history of the Russian Convoys during the Second World War.
During WW2 Britain sent several convoys north to supply the Soviet Union, and these convoys were repeatedly attacked by the German Navy, U-Boats and the Luftwaffe. This book is full of statistics and analysis and could be considered one of the most definitive reference books of the events, life and experiences of the men who were there.
The book includes tables of every Russian Convoy, and tables of U-Boats sunk during operations. Also includes lots of illustrations, photographs and maps.
Condition of the book is generally good. The cover has some scuffs, blemishes and creases, but the spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. Has a very small inscription in pen on the first inside page
