Mary Wakefield founded a music festival in Westmorland (in what is now Cumbria) in 1885, and in April and May 1946 the 36th festival was held at the St Georges Hall in Kendal. This booklet is a programme of the compeitions, concerts and events to be held that year.
The condition of the booklet is generally ok. The cover has several scuffs, blemishes and creases, and some light nibbling and creasing along the edges and corners, but the staple spine is intact, and all pages are intact and bound. There is some foxing to the outside page leaves, and yellowing to the inside pages throughout. Some inside pages also have light creasing, and there is a small amount of additional wear on the rear side cover where a small label has been removed
