This short booklet offers an excellent brief introduction to the history of the Mansfield and Pinxton railway, and includes several small black and white maps and illustrations, including a middle page section  colour map showing the route of the actual railway that operated between 1819 and 1848, as well as the earlier proposals for the line made in 1813 and 1817. Sections in the booklet include:

The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The cover has one or two minor scuffs but is clean and tidy, the staple spine is intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. Their is a small price sticker on the rear side cover
