The Hungry Years - The Struggle for Survival in Edmonton and Enfield before 1400, by D. Pam
Published by the Edmonton Hundred Historical Society in 2005, 31 pages. A4 size booklet
This booklet provides a fascinating short history of the areas of Edmonton and Enfield in the middle ages, covering the period from the 11th century up to 1400.
Edmonton and Enfield are of course now part of the urban sprawl of north London, but in the medieval period were fields and villages, and this booklet gives an excellent insight into the area and it's people over three centuries....
Condition of the booklet is generally good. The covers are clean and tidy, the staple spine is intact, and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound. The booklet does have some light bubbling throughout, and an old price printed on the front cover
