The History of Trade Unionism, by Sidney and Beatrice Webb - First Edition (1894)
Published by Longmans Green and Co in 1894, 558 pages. Hardback, First Edition (S8295GWSO)
This book is the seminal history of British Trade Unions by the Webbs, socialists who were themselves key figures in the Labour movement, and who both played key roles in the founding of the Fabian Society.
The condition of the book is generally ok. The dark blue cover boards have several minor scuffs, and rubbing and wear along the edges and corners. The spine is tight and intact, and all pages are intact and tightly bound. There is yellowing and bubbling to the inside pages throughout, and a name and date in pen on the first inside page (from 1910!).
