This book collects together a record of the 1st Battalion during much of the Second World War, and charts the day by day activities of the battalion. Information in the diary includes the location of the battalion, actions it was involved in, and other events where applicable. An example of an entry is given below to give you an idea of what is included: 

13/3/1944 - Tatmin Chaung, Burma:
LOB personnel ordered to move to Bde Adm area. Move questioned owing to shortage of manpower. Recorded patrols 15 Feb to 13 March, 145 - 5 miles covered by 64 patrols. Patrols active NES. B Coy moved to 424451 with platoon at 424459, previous location to be covered by patrolling only. A Coy took over standing patrol at 428482


The condition of the book is generally very good. The cover has one or two minor scuffs, but the spiral binding is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
