The Hidden Area of Teddington - The Growth of Fulwell 1870-1939, by C. French
Book published by the Twickenham Local History Society, 128 pages, Paperback (N7159)

Fulwell is an area in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames between Twickenham, Teddington and Hampton Hill, and it survives today as part of various names - some streets, the local railway station, a golf course, and local electoral wards.

This book describes the development of the area, from a handful of houses in 1870 to a fully built-up residential area in the 1930s, aimed at the demands for housing for the lower middle and working classes. The book also explores how the area developed as a community with its own church, pub and numerous shops.

The condition of the book is generally very good. The covers are clean and bright, the spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, unblemished and tightly bound. The first inside page has been clipped across the bottom right hand corner.
