This booklet provides a very short history of two counties in New York State in the 18th century, with some additional references to notable ancestors of the author. The counties of Orange and Ulster were settled very early in the history of North America, and were important areas of New York state (both counties were included in the original ten counties of the state as declared in 1683). The booklet thus charts their early history as part of the British colonies of America, and also their part in the American War of Independence....
Condition of the booklet is generally ok. The cover has some minor scuffs, and some light discolouration and colour fading along the left hand edge, but the staple spine is intact and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
