The British Infantry Shako 1800-1897, by Bryan Fosten and Gary Gibbs

Published by the Military Historical Society in 2008, 72 pages. A5 size booklet (N7189)

This booklet is a fascinating guide to the British Army infantry Shako, and covers the period from the Napoleonic Wars through to the final decade of the Victorian era. It is packed full of information, text and photographs of actual surviving shakos and badges, and is an invaluable reference for any collector of British army Shakos, helmets, headgear and badges.

Condition of the booklet is generally good. The covers have one or two minor scuffs, and some light creasing along the edges and corners, but the staple spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
