This book is a record of the history of these villages from the day the Abbey was founded through to modern times, using research from old documents and photographs collected from the local community. It celebrates the community, covering every aspect of local life down through the years, from schooling, through entertainment, such as the great Whitsuntide celebrations on Wendling Common, and sport, to work and worship. All this, and much more, is detailed in this 160 page book, copiously illustrated throughout with over 300 historic photographs of the places and people who have made up the thriving community of Wendling and its surrounding parish.
