This booklet charts the history of the railways in and around Eltham in South London from the time of the opening of the Bexleyheath line in 1895 right up until recent years. Illustrated throughout with lots of small black and white photographs and drawings, their are sections on the beginning of the line, the shareholders, problems with planning, construction and opening, Well Hall station, bridges, Eltham Park station, Well Hall goods depot, the First World War, Electrification, the Second World War, Well Hall Bus station, Eltham station, and more!
