This short booklet offers an excellent brief introduction to the history of the Theale to Bedwyn section of the Berks and Hants Line, and includes several small black and white photographs showing the stations and staff along the line in times gone by. There are sections on Theale, Aldermaston, Midgham, Colthrop Sidings, Thatcham, Newbury Racecourse, Newbury Station, Enborne Signalbox, Hamstead Crossing and Signalbox, Kintbury, Hungerford, Fairfield Crossing Signalbox, and Bedwyn.
The condition of the booklet is generally good. The plastic cover has some minor scuffs, and there is a crease running across the rear side cover, but the spine is intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
