Booklet published by Stuart Press, 44 pages. A5 size booklet (N6620X1)

The battle that occurred under the walls of Montgomery Castle in September' 1644 proved a decisive turning point in the war in North and Mid Wales and it's bordering English counties and was in fact the largest battle to be fought on Welsh soil during the English Civil War. The battle is poorly documented and perhaps because of this has been largely ignored by modern historians. This book outlines the campaign leading to the battle, the battle itself and the forces involved. From the introduction: Contents include:

Maps and Illustrations, including The Montgomeryshire Campaign, The Three stages of The Battlefield of Montgomery, and Cornets of Horse
The Parliamentarian Army (including The Horse, The Foot)

A List of prisoners Taken
The Battle of Montgomery
