From the introduction: By the summer of 1644 two Parliamentarian armies were pressing in around the king's capital at Oxford. The king escaped with a flying army from the city pursued by NaIler and Essex's forces, unable to catch up with him Essex marched into the westcountry and the king turned to collect troops from Oxford and face his remaining pursuer. The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The cover has one or two minor scuffs, but the staple spine is intact, and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is a small price sticker on the rear side cover.
