The Adventures of Marra, the Maryport Dolphin

Published by Regeneration Maryport, date unknown, 24 pages. Square booklet - c.21cm by 21cm (A51U2WSO)

From the inside front cover: This book is based on a true story. A single bottlenose dolphin had spent a number of months around the harbour mouth of Maryport, going relatively unnoticed. That was until high tide on the 5th of January 2006 when he entered Maryport's Marina. Word spread, and locals soon realised that something very special was happening in Maryport. Maryport Marina became the playground for the young Dolphin that locals named "Marra" (which means mate or
friend in the local dialect.) Marra was soon the star attraction, and could often be seen chasing boats around the marina, and playing to the crowds. Marra was released back into the wild, and it is reported by the rescuers that a second dolphin met him.

The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The cover has one or two very minor scuffs but is clean and bright, the staple spine is intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
