From the inside front fly leaf: The 305th Bombardment Group (H), 8th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Corps, was activated in March 1942 at Salt Lake City AB, moved to England in Oc­tober 1942, flew its first combat mission in November 1942 and its last in April 1945. The Group flew 480 missions (9,231 sorties), losing 154 aircraft in action. Two of its pilots won the Congressional Medal of Honor. Its wartime base was at Chelveston. 787 members of the 305th gave their lives for their country.

This Anthology was published under the auspices of the 305th Bombardment Group (H) Memorial Association, an organization formed in 1975 to perpetuate the memory of 305th men who died for their country.

The condition of the book is generally good. The dust jacket has several scuffs and blemishes, and creasing, nibbling and wear along the edges and corners, but the spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
