This book explores Soviet involvement in the Third World, and examines the extent of its commitment to what it calls 'Soviet client states'. The book also analyses the military aspects of Soviet policy toward the developing World, and includes chapters on Local Wars, Soviet Interventionary Forces, the situation in Angola, Ethiopia and Afghanistan, and Arms Sales and the arms trade.

Condition of the book is generally very good. The dust jacket has one or two minor scuffs and blemishes, and some light nibbling and wear along the edges, but the beige cover boards are clean and tidy, the spine is intact, and all page are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
