Published by the Romany and Traveller Family History Society in 2002, 100 pages. Paperback (N5856)

From the rear side cover: Walter Pateman grew up in the Gypsy community of Famborough Village, Kent. When he was conscripted into the Middlesex Regiment in June 1916, he left at home a wife and four young children. He was never to see them again.

Using the diary, letters and memoirs of some of Walter's comrades, plus a number of official sources, his great nephew has been able to develop a clear picture of Walter's life from his arrival in France in October 1916, until his death in a trench raid in February 1917...

Condition of the book is generally good. The cover is clean and tidy, the spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. Their is a small price sticker on the rear side cover.
