Brand New Book
From the rear side cover: When the companion volume entitled Glasgow Tram Services sold out within a few months of publication it was realised that there was scope to provide similar in-depth services information for the other three principal Scottish tramway systems of Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh. This publication follows the same format and comes from the same team who produced the Glasgow book. It will be seen that each system had its own characteristics but each suffered in varying ways from dubious political and financial decisions in latter days. Printed throughout in colour with many of lan Stewart's detailed drawings showing forgotten liveries, illustrations have been chosen and positioned to match the chronology. It is refreshing to bring history right up-to-date on an upbeat note concluding with a photo review of the new trams for Edinburgh.
