The Royal Air Observation Post (RAOP) was the military service established to provide artillery spotting for the British Army, and generally used light aircraft for this purpose. The RAOP operated throughout the Second World War and in the period immeadiately after the conflict, before eventually being replaced by the newly formed Army Air Corps. During the Second World War RAOP units used light, fixed-wing aircraft, notably Auster aircraft, and these were flown by RAF and British Army pilots. Chapters include:

The condition of the book is generally good. The dust jacket has some very light nibbling and wear along the edges but is clean and bright, the spine is tight and intact, and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound. Also, as is usual for books published in India and Pakistan, the paper used is considerably thinner than we are used to
