Booklet published by G.H. Smith in 1982, 100 pages. A4 size booklet (N6722)

In 1906 Edmund Bogg produced a two volume account of Richmondshire and the Vale of Mowbray, and this booklet is a complete facsimilie edition of the first of those two volumes, which concentrated on the Vale of Mowbray. There are sections on the Devils Arrows, Ripon, Tanfield Hackfall and Masham, in and around Thirsk, Topcliffe, Round About Coxwold Byland and Kilburn, Wass, Whitestonecliffe, Leake, Round about Osmotherly, and more, and the facsmilie reproduces the many photographs and line drawings that were present in the original (although the quality of the images is sometimes a little poor).

The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The cover has one or two minor scuffs, and some light wear along the edges, but the staple spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
