Illustrated throughout with lots of black and white photographs (almost all 'classroom' type photo's showing groups of children, as well as some of the teachers!), this book provides a fascinating account of education and schools in Oldham, and is full of people's memories of their school days. Lots of schools are included, including Oldham Parish Church School, Coldhurst, Glodwick, Northmoor, Waterloo, St Marks, Beever Street, Westwood, Alexandra Park, Richmond Street, Littlemoor, Counthill, Oldham High School, Hathershaw, Hollins, Limeside, and more!
Condition of the booklet is generally very good. The cover has some minor scuffs and blemishes, and some nibbling and creasing along the edges and corners, but the staple spine is tight and intact and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
