From the rear side cover: The 20th Century has been a turbulent one for the town of Pembroke Dock. When the century was ushered in Pembroke Dock - thanks to its Royal Dockyard - was one of the most prosperous communities in Wales. All this changed with the Dockyard's closure in 1926. The RAF's arrival in the 1930s was followed by World War II and a frontline role for both military personnel and civilians in the town. The departure of the RAF and the Army left Pembroke Dock to look for a new identity and a new purpose in the latter part of the century.
This book is a photographic record of how this fine Victorian town has changed over the last 100 years and of some of the events which have shaped its recent history.
The condition of the book is generally excellent. The covers are clean and bright, the spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is a small price sticker on the rear side cover
