This booklet tells the story of the Salford Ambulance Service in Lancashire, from it's creation in 1948 to its inclusion in the merger to form the North West Region health Authority in 1974. The author joined the service in 1963, and as well as recording it's history, he provides a fascinating and entertaining account of his experiences over the years.....
The booklet is illustrated throughout with several small black and white photographs.
Condition of the booklet is generally very good. The cover is clean and tidy, the staple spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is an old price printed on the front cover and a small price sticker on the rear side cover
