Joe Kay was born in Manchester on the 13th of September 1914 and he grew up at 8 Linton Road in Harpurhey. In this booklet he provides a fascinating account of his experiences living in the area over a period that included the great depression of the 1930's and the hunger marches and of course the Second World War.
The booklet is illustrated throughout with several black and white photographs
Condition of the booklet is generally excellent. The cover is clean and bright, the staple spine is tight and intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. Has an old price printed on the front cover, a small price sticker on the rear side.
