This booklet provides an account of the life of Norman, who was born in Maitoba in Canada in 1923, and most of the book details his eprsonal memories and reminiscences.
Norman grew up in Winnpieg, and when he was 16 he lied about his age and joined the Canadian Army at the start of the Second World War. He joined the Lake Superior regiment, and writes about his time in the army, including the D-Day landings on one of the temporary Mulberry Harbours, fighting at the Falaise Gap and the Rhineland operation known as 'Blockbuster'. His early life and activities during the war takes up about half of the book, and the second half describes his life after the war, and coming to terms with having lost both of his legs during the conflict.
Condition of the booklet is generally good. The cover has some minor scuffs, and some light nibbling along the edges, but the staple spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound
