The book collects together around 150 photographs of Holland during the Second World War, and was was published in the Netherlands. Although no date is given it was probably published around 1946. The foreword and introduction text is all in Dutch, but the captions to all the photographs are in English.

The condition of the book is generally ok. The cover boards have several scuffs and blemishes, and light wear along the edges, but the spiral binding is intact and all pages are intact and tightly bound. There is yellowing to the inside pages throughout, and the book has a slight musty smell from being stored. There is a small area of staining in the bottom left corner of the rear side, and this staining extends through to the inside pages.
