Booklet published privately by the author in 2000, 20 pages. A5 size booklet (N6326X1CHX1)

From the introduction: It seemed an obvious progression. My father, S. Miles Davey, having enjoyed photographing so many of Bristol's Trams, encouraged me to continue in this vein by recording the local buses. I was given a Micky Mouse box camera on my twelfth birthday. One thing he taught me was to "keep the negs" and so I numbered them from 1 onwards, whatever the subject. Having experimented on the family, the first Western National view I took was negative 26 being the view on this front cover.

Some of the shots are dreadful, but now, 50 years later they seem to have some sort of curious historic interest. So the idea came to me to save these non-masterpieces by publishing them in this format, i.e. in chronological order.

One has to remember, there were no books or lists of vehicles available back in those days; we wrote down, ourselves, what we came across, collecting and swapping information to create our own pages of listings. So, with thanks to my late father, I offer my first 44 views showing a sort of representative collection of "National" buses around the West Country immediately after the war....

The condition of the booklet is generally good. The covers have one or two minor scuffs and creases, but the staple spine is tight and intact, and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is a small price sticker on the rear side cover.
