This privately published A4 size booklet provides a fascinating history of bus operators and in Wiltshire in the early 1930's. As it says on the title page: 'Although published 84 years too late to be of any practical use to travellers, this publication will hopefully provide an insight into motor bus and coach services in the county of Wiltshire at a time when motor car ownership was limited and public transport served the needs of the majority of people'.
Sections include: the county of Wiltshire, map showing location of independent operators, local independent operators, Swindon Corporation and Operators associated with large groups, services entering Wiltshire from neighbouring counties, and maps of motor omnibus services in Wiltshire.
The condition of the booklet is generally very good. The card covers are clean and bright, the staple binding is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. There is a small price sticker on the rear side cover.
