This booklet provides a fascinating history of transport and the railways in around the Stockport town of Marple from the late 1700's up to the present day. Chapters include pre-railway networks, early tramways, the coming of the railway 1830-1865, the growth of the railway 1865-1900, decline and renewal, and influences on Marple and Mellor.
Condition of the booklet is generally excellent. The cover is clean and bright, the staple spine is tight and intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. Has a small price sticker on the rear side.
