Published by the Walsall Library and Museum Service in 1984, 36 pages. Large A4 size booklet (S6760)
This booklet provides a fascinating brief account of some of the 'lost buildings' of the West Midlands town of Walsall, and is illustrated throughout with lots of black and white photographs, maps and drawings of the buildings themselves
The buildings featured in the booklet include the Woolpack Inn in Digbeth, Bescot Hall and estate, the Congregational Church on Bridge Street, various buildings that were located on Aldridge High Street, the Old Hall at Willenhall, the Walsall Temperance Hall, Lower Farm at Little Bloxwich, the slums at Catherines Cross in Darlaston, and the Theatre at Town End Bank.
Condition of the book is generally very good. The cover has one or two very minor scuffs, and some light nibbling along the edges, but the staple spine is intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
