From the foreword: Bill Brighton got married in June 1943, and was to spend many months in Palace Guard Duty in London, guarding Churchill in his wartime bunker. He was in London during the blitz, watching St. Pauls narrowly escaping bombs and losing comrades, enduring the terrors and the horror of night raids, before finally being sent on service overseas
This booklet provides a glimpse into what it was like in London during the war, and the emotions and attitudes of the time, as well as horrors of the blitz......
The booklet is illustrated throughout with several black and white photographs
Condition of the booklet is generally very good. The cover has one or two very minor scuffs, but the staple spine is intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
