Book published by Osprey in 1999, 144 pages. Paperback (S5635)
Built by Lockheed as a fighter aircraft for the United States Airforce during the Second World War, the Lightning was a highly innovated design in response to the challenging requirement for a long range high speed high altitude fighter, and this book is a detailed assessment of the aircraft, including it's orgins and development, as well as its operational history during the war
The book is illustrated throughout with lots of black and white (and some colour) photographs and drawings
Condition of the book is generally very good. The cover has one or two very minor scuffs and blemishes, and light nibbling along the edges, but the spine is tight and intact, and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound.
