llancarfan Memories - A Personal Selection
Llancarfan Memories - A Personal Selection, collected by Phil Watts
Paperback published by Phil Watts in 2008, 208 pages (S8230JWSO)
This book collects together articles that appeared in the Llancarfan Society newsletter, and offers a fascinating insight into the history of the Welsh village, as well as stories, tales and memories recounted by people who have grown up, lived and worked their. The book was produced by the author in tribute to his wife, who had herself come to the village as a Land Girl in 1947, and who lived their for the next half century.
The condition of the book is generally a little poor, but is perfect as a reading copy or reference for study. The cover has one or two minor scuffs, and some light wear along the edges, but the spine is intact and all pages are intact, unblemished and tightly bound. The problem with the book is that the bottom half of the rear side cover has become damp at some stage, and this has caused some light bubbling which extends through to the bottom right hand corner of the last 15 or so pages. The book also has an inscription, signed by Phil Watts, on the introduction page
