Life in Old Caversham, by Mary Kift
Book published privately in 1980, 96 pages. Paperback (S5839)
This book is a fascinating history of the village of Caversham, which is situated on the north bank of the Thames in Berkshire, and which is now part of the unitary authority of Reading (Up until 1911 the village was actually part of neighbouring Oxfordshire!)
Illustrated with several black and white photographs, this book will delight anyone who has lived or grown up in Caversham, as well as people with a more general interest in the social history of Reading and the surrounding area....
Condition of the book is generally very good. The cover has one or two very minor scuffs, and some colour fading along the outside spine, but the spine itself is intact and all pages are clean, intact, unblemished and tightly bound. The first inside page is clipped across the extreme top right hand corner
